1979 Offshore Yachts sloop
About This Yacht
This 1979 Offshore Yachts sloop is a 33-foot sailing yacht with an 11-foot beam and 4.5-foot draft, making it well-suited to shallow waters like the Chesapeake Bay. The fiberglass hull design offers ample interior volume for family cruising, with generous storage throughout.
The boat was converted from diesel to electric propulsion in 2021, now equipped with a 22 horsepower Thunderstruck Motors electric motor system. Maximum speed reaches 7.5 knots under electric power.
Onboard equipment includes a Shakespeare SE 2001 Marina VHF radio, AM/FM/CD stereo with speakers, and a Raymarine/Raytheon ST4000 autopilot. The boat runs on two marine house batteries installed in June 2020. The shoal keel design provides good draft control for coastal exploration and anchorages.
The boat is currently registered in Maryland for 2025 and is due for haul-out and bottom paint this year.
