The Robert Perry 47 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built to the design of the renowned naval architect Robert Perry. This 47-foot center cockpit cruiser displays classic lines, robust construction, and the seaworthiness Perry is known for. With a beam of 13.5 feet and a displacement of 30,400 pounds, the boat is powered by an 80-horsepower Ford Lehman diesel engine with approximately 3,300 hours since rebuild. She maintains a cruising speed of 6.8 knots at 1,500 RPM and a maximum speed of 8.5 knots at 2,200 RPM.
The interior features a full teak finish with two staterooms, a salon, and a companionway leading to an aft cabin, offering berths for six or more. Cabin headroom reaches 6 feet 5 inches. The galley includes a three-burner Force 10 oven and stove, refrigerator and freezer units, a sharp microwave, and a Spectra Ventura 150 watermaker. An Aqua Air 16,000 BTU air conditioning system and Isotemp hot water heater support comfortable cruising. A Splendide washer/dryer combo and two manual Jabsco heads are fitted.
Major systems were upgraded through 2022–2024. The electrical suite includes a Victron MultiPlus inverter/charger, a Northern Lights 6K generator, and a BMV-712 battery monitor. Four solar panels totaling 1,430 watts charge the house bank. Navigation and autopilot comprise a B&G Zeus3S 9-inch plotter, Triton2 displays, B&G Halo 20+ radar, a NAC-3 autopilot, and an Amec WideLink AIS transponder. New running rigging, a new dodger, bimini, hatch covers, and MackStack sail cover (all Sunbrella) were installed. The sail inventory includes fully battened mainsail, furling genoa, storm jib, asymmetric spinnaker, trisail, and staysail—all Macksails from 2018, with storm and trisail never used. Ground tackle comprises three anchors with a Maxwell electric windlass, and the dinghy is an 8.5-foot Aleko with a 6-horsepower Nissan outboard.
