This 1979 Willard Marine 50 is a fiberglass-hulled utility launch built for military personnel and cargo transport. Originally designed to carry upwards of 140 people plus crew, the boat features a round-bottom hull powered by a single Detroit Diesel 671N engine producing 160 horsepower, with a cruising speed of 11 knots at full load displacement.
The cockpit has been modified with a new helm station, aluminum T-top, Eisenglass forward windscreen, and bench seating. An onboard head facility has been added. The boat includes multiple boarding points: port and starboard entries adjacent to the helm with rail-guided steps, plus bow railing assistance. A dive ladder and swim platform are fitted aft.
The engine received a top-end rebuild by Strike Marine with numerous components replaced. The boat's open, multi-purpose layout suits applications including passenger tours, water taxi service, and diving operations.
