The C&C 40-2 is a 1980 sloop built on a fiberglass hull with a fin keel design. At just over 40 feet long with a 13-foot beam, it offers a balanced platform for sailing. The boat is powered by a 30-horsepower Yammer inboard diesel engine and cruises at 7.5 knots.
The interior provides two cabins and two heads for overnight accommodation and cruising comfort. Layout and storage are designed around extended time away from the dock.
Recent maintenance and upgrades include a five-coat epoxy barrier coat applied to the hull in 2019, a new cutlass bearing fitted in 2021, and replacement of the galley faucet and bilge pump in 2017. The boat carries a Harken Pro Furler, Lewmar Ocean Hatches, and new acrylic cabin windows for improved daylighting and ventilation.
