1980 Cheoy Lee Sloop

This 44-foot Cheoy Lee sloop features a fiberglass hull with an aft cockpit layout designed for blue water sailing. The boat was extensively refitted beginning in California, where the original teak decks and wooden mast were removed and replaced with a 55-foot aluminum mast and new rigging. Around 2004 the boat was repowered with a Volvo diesel engine. Recent upgrades include roller furling added to the staysail and conversion of the main to a roller-furled boom system.

The interior provides two staterooms and two fresh water heads, making the boat suitable for extended cruising or live-aboard use. The layout and accommodations reflect a focus on comfortable longer-term passages.
