1980 Grand Banks 32 Sedan

This 1980 Grand Banks 32 Sedan is a fiberglass trawler with a 32-foot length overall and 11-foot 6-inch beam. The boat is powered by a Ford Lehman 120 diesel engine paired with a 250-gallon fuel capacity and equipped with a Vetus bow thruster plus a new Vetus stern thruster installed in 2022. A Northern Lights 5.5 kW generator provides shore power independence, and the boat carries 110 gallons of water and a 20-gallon holding tank.

Below deck, the main cabin features a v-berth with a custom 8-inch firm mattress, a hanging closet with shelves and storage bins, and a galley with a three-burner propane stove and oven. A full shower and electric Vacuflush head serve the single cabin layout. The interior includes parquet flooring, rugs, window screens, and practical storage throughout. Navigation equipment includes two Garmin Echomap GPS units, Furuno radar and depth sounder, VHF radio, and a new Garmin autopilot with remote added in 2025.

Systems and infrastructure are comprehensive. A Lofrans Royal manual anchor windlass manages the 44-pound Bruce anchor with 30 feet of chain and 150 feet of rode. Dual air conditioning units (Cruisair 16,000 and 5,000 BTU) and an engine room heater maintain comfort. Electrical systems include a 4D house bank with Group 30 starting battery and AGM battery for the stern thruster. An electric Rule 1100 gph bilge pump and manual Whale bilge pump provide redundancy. Recent upgrades span 2022 to 2026 and include new oil filters, battery charger, rebuilt fuel injection pump, bottom paint refresh, LED lighting throughout, new refrigerator, additional teak cabinetry, and a new saltwater washdown pump.

Safety equipment aboard includes six lifejackets, flares, a lifesling, and two Piccolo life rings. Deck features include stainless steel railings, teak trim, a teak ladder, deck chairs with green covers, and Sunbrella covers for biminis and exterior teak.
