1980 Grand Banks 36 Classic

The Grand Banks 36 Classic is a full displacement, semi-long keel trawler built in fiberglass. Measuring 36 feet in length with a 12.67-foot beam, it combines the design hallmarks the model is known for with practical cruising capabilities. Power comes from twin Ford Lehman diesel engines of 120 horsepower each, paired with Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmissions. The engines have logged 4,660 hours, while the Universal 18-kilowatt generator shows 1,326 hours.

Fuel capacity totals 400 gallons in painted steel tanks, with 175 gallons of fresh water in stainless steel and a 40-gallon holding tank. Hot water is supplied by a Kuuma 6-gallon unit. The boat carries a Raymarine E90 system for GPS, radar, and depth, a Standard Horizon Explorer VHF radio, and ICOM IC-M604 for backup communications. Two Danforth compasses and a Davis Vantage weather station provide additional navigation aids. A Raymarine autopilot is installed but not operational. Electrical systems include six 6-volt batteries connected to an inverter, two 12-volt house banks, and one 8D 12-volt starting battery, with a 40-amp Xantrex charger and 30-amp smart shore power connection.

The galley features a Princess 3-burner propane stove with oven and a Nova Kool AC/DC refrigerator. An Espar diesel heater provides warmth, while two VacuFlush freshwater heads serve the accommodation. A Dickinson propane BBQ and stereo entertainment round out the domestic systems. Ground tackle includes a Lewmar 1000 12-volt windlass with 35 pounds of CQR anchor, 120 feet of 3/8-inch chain, and 200 feet of 5/8-inch nylon line. The boat carries a Bimini top, Lea cloths, and helm cover, and includes Penn downriggers.

New zincs were installed in June 2025. A survey was completed in October 2022.
