1980 Gulfstar 47 Sailmaster

The Gulfstar 47 Sailmaster is a 47-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built in 1980, powered by a single 135-horsepower Perkins diesel engine. Measuring 13.8 feet across the beam, she has a cruising speed of 6.5 knots. Over recent years, this boat has received extensive refits and upgrades including a completely rebuilt Northern Lights generator, new standing and running rigging, replacement of all chain plates and lifelines, a new windlass, bow thruster, and helm controls. Navigation equipment now includes a new self-steering system, EPIRB, handheld VHF radios, and a Starlink system.

The interior layout includes two cabins and two heads. The galley has been updated with a new Force 10 gimballed three-burner stove and oven, new hot water heater, electric toilets, and new freshwater pumps. Climate control systems include new air conditioning in the salon and master cabin. A new 10-foot dinghy is included with the sale.

Electrical systems have been upgraded substantially: two upsized alternators, new gel-type house, start, windlass, and bow thruster batteries, and a new deck-mounted solar system. Additional recent work includes new smart televisions, wind speed indicator, depth sounder, and cockpit radio. The mizzen sail is new, as are the davit system and refrigeration compressor.

The hull was recently hand-wet-sanded and polished. Teak on deck was sanded and sealed with eight coats of Captain's 1015 and two coats of clear finish.
