1980 Hatteras 70 Motor Yacht

This 1980 Hatteras 70 Extended Deckhouse motor yacht features twin Detroit Diesel 12V71TI engines producing 1,350 horsepower combined. The boat cruises at 14 knots and reaches a top speed of 18 knots. The fiberglass hull measures 70 feet in length with an 18.5-foot beam. Engines have 1,400 hours since major overhaul. The hull has been bottom-blasted and barrier-coated, with new zincs and a fresh wax finish.

The accommodations include five staterooms and four heads. The full-beam master stateroom aft features a centerline queen berth and ensuite head with shower and tub. Two VIP staterooms are located aft, each with twin berths and ensuite facilities. Forward crew quarters include a captain's quarters with a large berth and a crew stateroom with upper and lower bunks, both with ensuite heads and showers. The main salon offers an L-shaped sofa, dining chairs and table, and a 42-inch flat-screen television. An aft deck provides protected entertaining space with a wet bar, wicker seating, and access to the swim platform. The galley features a full suite of stainless steel appliances including a five-burner stove, double-door refrigerator, dishwasher, and icemaker.

Recent improvements include updated soft goods and carpeting throughout, refinished teak paneling, new headliners with mini-LED lighting, and updated teak and holly flooring in the heads. All plumbing and heads have been replaced with new Tecma marine heads and new lines. The electrical system has been converted from 32-volt to 24-volt throughout. Two newer 21.5-kilowatt Onan generators run at 1,124 and 1,085 hours respectively. Air conditioning operates across seven zones with a reverse-cycle system.

Navigation and control systems include Garmin 7612 chartplotters, Garmin radar with open array antenna, and Garmin GHC20 autopilot at both lower helm and flybridge. Communication equipment comprises two ICOM IC-M506 VHF radios. The boat carries a KVH Tracvision TV5 satellite system, Fusion stereo systems on the salon and flybridge, and multiple flat-screen televisions throughout. The 10-kilowatt bow thruster, Bennett trim tabs, Naiad stabilizer, and single-lever air clutch and throttle controls enhance handling and operation. An Atlantic Towers hardtop shelters the expansive flybridge, which seats multiple guests and includes a stainless-steel refrigerator and liquor storage. The foredeck is equipped with dual 24-volt windlass systems, a Manta 80H anchor with 300 feet of chain and nylon rode, and multiple cleats and fender racks.
