1980 Kennedy Sloop

This 1980 Kennedy sloop is a 51-foot fiberglass cruising yacht built in Canada for serious offshore passages. Powered by a Yanmar 50 hp diesel engine, the boat has logged considerable time cruising the Keys, Bahamas, and the Great Loop with a family of five aboard.

The interior features three cabins and one head, with 6'6" standing headroom throughout. The galley is equipped with a house-sized propane stove and oven, and the boat carries a newer refrigerator and freezer unit. A diesel furnace provides heating, while an inverter system supports onboard power needs. Additional features include a flat-screen television with DVR and substantial fuel and water tank capacity for extended cruising.

The Yanmar diesel was recently replaced and runs well. Some finishing work remains on the aft staterooms, leaving room for a hands-on owner to complete the interior to their specifications. The boat is ready for cruising and has proven herself over many seasons of extended voyaging.
