1980 Passport 45

The Passport 45 is a center cockpit ketch designed by Doug Peterson and built by Peter Hoyt in Taiwan. A full-keel sailing yacht, she is engineered for blue water cruising and performs well in varied conditions. Her design and construction have earned recognition for durability and comfort among long-distance cruisers.

The layout centers on two staterooms, a full galley, and a comfortable salon with extensive storage throughout—accommodations suited to extended voyages or live-aboard use. The center cockpit serves as the command station and relaxation area, fitted with a semi-enclosed top that provides shelter in both sunny and heavy weather conditions.

Powered by a 76 hp John Deere diesel engine, the yacht reaches a cruising speed of 5.5 knots and a maximum speed of 8 knots under power. She sleeps six with two heads aboard.
