1981 McKee Craft Southporter

This 1981 McKee Craft Southporter is a 17-foot center console with a fiberglass hull built on a design descended from Boston Whaler principles. The boat was comprehensively retrofitted in 2022, stripped to bare hull and rebuilt with new systems throughout. A Mercury 115 hp four-cycle engine powers it, paired with a new 20-gallon fuel tank, all-new fuel systems, and all-new electrical systems. The engine has approximately 200 hours of operation and features a brand-new impeller installed in February 2025.

The console and seating were replaced with a full mahogany aftermarket Whaler console and front seat, complemented by a mahogany bench seat and new cushions. A VHF radio and antenna are installed. Custom stainless-steel railings wrap approximately 60 percent of the boat, and custom rod holders are fitted for fishing. The hull received new bottom and top marine paint.

Supporting systems are new: the bilge, battery switch, and engine controls are all recently installed, along with two new batteries. The boat has been maintained with regular washdowns and motor flushing and arrives with a 2024 new aluminum Tidewater bunk trailer.
