1981 Nordic Tug 26

The Nordic Tug 26 is a classic trawler built in 1981 with a fiberglass hull and designed around fuel efficiency. Powered by a single 50 hp Perkins diesel engine, she cruises at around five to seven knots and consumes roughly 1.5 gallons per hour. The boat's distinctive tugboat aesthetic reflects its original design philosophy from the 1970s, combining traditional character with straightforward, capable engineering.

Below deck, the single cabin features warm wood throughout and accommodates a V-berth with new memory foam soft goods. The galley has been upgraded with a new countertop, sink, and faucet, along with a small refrigerator, propane stove with oven, and pantry storage. A woodstove provides heating at anchor.

Recent additions and upgrades include a new oil cooler and hot water tank, a Lewmar 12-volt windlass, a custom dinghy, and a motor hoist. The boat has one head and is built for straightforward coastal cruising with practical, durable systems throughout.
