The Pearson 365 is a well-regarded 36-foot ketch design, and this 1981 example is built on a solid fiberglass hull with an 11-foot beam. Power comes from a single 40-horsepower Westerbeke diesel engine, which was rebuilt in the 1990s. The boat carries the standard ketch rig and has been actively maintained by the same yard since its launch.
Beginning in 2014, the owner undertook a systematic series of upgrades. New Garhauer stanchions and bases were installed alongside replacement lifelines. The teak toerails and bumprails—fitted with new solid teak after the original standard rails were removed early in the boat's life—received full stripping and refinishing with eight or more coats of varnish, though additional patching and varnish work would benefit the brightwork. The waterline was repainted in Awlgrip Vivid Red, and the hull underwent a bottom strip followed by Interprotect barrier coat and Micron Extra antifouling.
Topside improvements include custom Hood Yacht Systems stainless steel hatches and portlights, new deck fills, and stainless steel dorades. The fuel tank was replaced during this period. A new North Sails mainsail and jib with integrated lazy jack system were installed, along with a new Harken furler for the headsails. Interior updates encompassed new faucets and fixtures throughout.
