The Endeavour E37 is a bluewater cruising sailboat built to handle extended offshore passages. This 1982 model features the tall rig bowsprit cutter configuration above deck and a rare C-plan layout below—essentially a B-plan with an additional private aft cabin. The yacht combines traditional construction with practical cruising design throughout.
The interior showcases rich teak joinery and teak parquet flooring. The layout includes a galley to starboard, a private double aft cabin with vanity and sink to port, and a spacious salon with port and starboard settees. The starboard settee converts to a double berth, and a bulkhead-mounted dining table folds for space efficiency. A large V-berth with hanging lockers sits forward, with the head accessible from both the salon and V-berth. The galley is equipped with a Nova Kool refrigerator/freezer, Galley Maid three-burner propane stove with oven and broiler, double stainless steel sink, and a six-gallon water heater. The cockpit is notably large for the size, with room for a separate dodger and bimini or a joined canvas unit.
The boat runs on a Perkins 4-108 diesel engine paired with a fixed three-bladed propeller. Recent mechanical work includes a new stern tube installed in 2022. The electrical system comprises two Nautilus Group 31 house batteries installed in 2021 and a separate engine-start battery. Electronics include a Garmin GPS, Raymarine wind and speed/depth instruments, Standard Horizon VHF with DSC, and a Clarion marine stereo.
The sail plan consists of a keel-stepped mast with external halyards, a dacron mainsail with three reefs, a dacron headsail on a Harken furler, and a staysail with Profurl roller furling. Both the mainsail and staysail were made by Michelle Stevens Sailloft—the mainsail in 2013 and the staysail converted to roller furling in 2004. Ground tackle includes a 35-pound plow anchor with 100 feet of chain and 100 feet of nylon, and a 15-kilogram claw anchor with 200 feet of chain. The deck features a custom stainless steel arch with integrated davits, a bowsprit platform with dual bow rollers, and separate anchor lockers.
