The Pan Oceanic 43 is a blue water cruiser designed by Ted Brewer, built in Manila with a fiberglass hull and 13-foot beam. Her cutter rig and pilothouse are configured for heavy weather sailing and comfort across extended passages. The boat carries the solid construction and spacious layout characteristic of serious offshore cruisers, with a single 85-horsepower Perkins diesel engine.
Below deck are three cabins and two heads, arranged for cruising families or those seeking room to settle in for extended time at sea. The main deck centers on the pilothouse, which provides shelter and visibility while underway. Two 16,000 BTU air conditioning units offer climate control in port and at anchor.
Recent service work includes engine servicing and battery replacement in 2024, along with a new alternator and mainsail cover. The standing rigging was replaced in 2013. A Lofgrens Tigres windlass handles ground tackle. Iron ballast secures the hull, and both decks and hull structure remain sound. The sails are serviceable though showing age. This boat is a project requiring attention and work, but her fundamental design and construction provide a solid foundation for an extended refit.
