1983 Bertram Sport Convertible

This 1983 Bertram Sport Convertible is a 26-foot fiberglass convertible powered by twin Crusader 165 hp V-6 gasoline inboards. The engines have accumulated 2,372 and 728 hours respectively, and the transmissions were rebuilt in 2023 with approximately 40 hours of operation since. The boat draws fuel from a 131-gallon tank and includes newer batteries, a washdown system, and four Walker electric downriggers for fishing.

The layout centers on an open cockpit with outboard storage lockers and four deck hatches. The helm station sits forward with a bench seat that folds to reveal an undersink, and helm controls and electronics are positioned nearby. To starboard is a storage cabinet housing a DC refrigerator and drawer. Forward of the engine hatch to port lies a collapsible dinette with bench seating forward and aft, plus a storage drawer. Bilge access hatches are located throughout the deck.

Below, a louvered teak door provides access to the forward cabin with V-berths, cushions, and a removable filler that creates a queen-sized sleeping area. Underneath the filler is a porta potti with a deck fitting for dockside discharge. The cabin includes hanging storage lockers, an overhead deck hatch with screen, and a rope locker. Navigation and safety equipment include GPS, VHF radio, depth finder, three bilge pumps, fire suppression, and USCG safety gear. The boat is furnished with a fully enclosed canvas cover. A double-axle storage trailer is included.
