The Lancer 40 is a 1983 cruising yacht built on a Herb David design, with a fiberglass hull measuring 40 feet in length and 12 feet in beam. The owner's cabin aft spans the full width with a queen berth, two hanging lockers, and four cedar-lined drawers, adjacent to a head compartment featuring a separate shower stall.

The galley offers over 25 square feet of counter space, an electric refrigerator with freezer, a propane gimballed stove with oven, hot and cold pressurized water, and a deep double sink. The combination of performance-oriented hull design and practical accommodations makes her capable both under sail and power.
