1983 Silverton 40 Aft Cabin

This 1983 Silverton 40 is a fiberglass sedan bridge motor yacht powered by twin Crusader 350 gas engines. At 40 feet long with a 14-foot beam and shallow 3-foot draft, she handles easily in tight quarters while remaining seaworthy enough for offshore work. The twin V8s cruise at 15 to 16 knots and have been substantially rebuilt in early 2026 with new exhaust manifolds, risers, hoses, and cooling system overhauls—work that included fresh plugs, filters, and fluids on both motors, plus new ignition components on the port engine. Both engines fire reliably with no vibration or rattle. Engine hours stand at approximately 800.

Below deck, the boat sleeps six across two private staterooms and a salon with a pull-out berth. Two full heads each feature separate stand-up showers, and the galley is equipped with an electric range, oven, microwave, and refrigeration. The salon offers wraparound windows and bright natural light. Fresh water capacity is about 100 gallons, and the holding tank holds roughly 35 gallons. Fuel capacity reaches 300 gallons across two 150-gallon tanks.

Recent upgrades throughout include approximately $8,300 in new canvas covers for the flybridge, upper helm, and windshield, plus a newer 6.5 kW Kohler generator with just 48 hours of run time. Electronics include a Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter with sonar and fish-finding capability, dedicated radar, automatic fire suppression in the engine compartment, and recently serviced hydraulic steering. Fresh-water heads, new battery charger, electrical bus bar upgrades, and replaced exterior drains round out the recent work. New hatches and ports have also been added. The aft cabin layout includes a hard top over the aft deck and a large swim platform with davit mounting brackets. All 2026 engine work carries a one-year warranty through May 2027.
