1984 Bertram Express Moppie

This 1984 Bertram 26 Express is a fiberglass express cruiser built to the classic standards the yard was known for. Powered by twin Crusader gasoline engines rated at 330 hp each, she carries an inboard configuration with engines positioned midship, a layout that maximizes cockpit space for day cruising and fishing. The 26-foot length and 10-foot beam create a balanced platform built for open water.

The boat sleeps four and includes a single cabin with full galley and head for overnight comfort. The midship engine placement leaves the cockpit open and uncluttered—a practical design choice that also improves the ride and weight distribution. This boat has seen use as a day cruiser and weekend runabout throughout her life rather than as a working fishing vessel.

The twin Crusader engines were rebuilt in 2016 and have accumulated 130 hours since that work, bringing the total engine hours to approximately 1350. The bottom was recently hauled and serviced. The boat comes with its original design and hull integrity intact, reflecting decades of careful maintenance.
