1984 Broward CPMY - Raised Pilothouse

This 1984 Broward 80-foot raised pilothouse motor yacht was built by Broward Marine in Michigan and represents a classic displacement cruiser design. Twin Detroit Diesel engines deliver 1,100 horsepower each, capable of 14 knots at top speed with a comfortable cruising speed of 11 knots. The aluminum hull carries 4,500 gallons of fuel capacity for a maximum range of 1,500 nautical miles at 13.5 knots, plus 1,000 gallons of freshwater storage.

The yacht accommodates four staterooms with three heads. Forward accommodations include two staterooms and a head, while aft you'll find two full master suites, each with private heads. An enclosed aft deck added around 1998 expanded the living area significantly. Climate control is managed through dual 48,000 BTU chillers with reverse-cycle heat and air distribution to seven zones via electronic controls.

Power systems include two 32kW Kilopac generators—one capable of running the entire yacht independently—plus a 100-amp shore power connection. Naiad roll stabilizers enhance comfort underway, and a fuel polishing system maintains fuel quality. The engine synchronizers keep the twin diesels balanced.

Electronics have been substantially updated with two Garmin 7212 touch screens in the pilothouse and a Garmin 5212 on the flybridge, all supported by GPS, radar, and sounder capabilities networked via NEMA 2000. The system includes a Garmin autopilot operable from either helm station, dual VHF radios with AIS, and eight exterior cameras viewable from the pilothouse. Additional conveniences include satellite TV, WiFi throughout, LED lighting, and digital monitoring of battery voltage, temperature, and wind conditions.
