1984 Carver 28 Mariner

This 1984 Carver 28 Mariner is a fiberglass flybridge cruiser built for extended coastal and Great Lakes cruising. The boat measures 28 feet in length with an 11-foot beam and accommodates a family or small group with a master stateroom featuring a comfortable berth and storage, plus a convertible booth dinette and settee that each convert to additional sleeping berths. A galley with a dual burner stove and refrigerator sits adjacent to a head with toilet, sink, and shower.

The helm sits on the flybridge under canvas enclosure with seating for eight, while the aft deck also features full canvas enclosure and generous space for deck furniture. Twin Crusader V8 5.0-liter engines (220 horsepower each) power the boat via V-drive transmissions. The engines were rebuilt in 2016–2017 and have approximately 800 hours since that work.

Current systems include dual starting batteries and two house batteries connected to a solar charging system with a 3000-watt inverter installed in 2024. Navigation and chartplotting are handled by a Raymarine R-series system, newly installed. Additional equipment includes a windlass installed in May 2025, bilge pumps, navigation lights, and horn. The exterior fiberglass and canvas enclosures are reported in good condition, with the bridge and aft deck fully enclosed and maintained.
