1984 Young Sun 35

The Young Sun 35 is a double-ended cutter built for serious offshore cruising. This fiberglass hull represents the classic bluewater design philosophy: solid construction, balanced proportions, and the seaworthiness needed for extended passages. The cutter rig and double-ended stern provide responsive sail handling across a range of conditions, whether for Great Lakes cruising or longer ocean work.

The interior is arranged as a true cruising home rather than a daysailer. The layout includes comfortable berths, ample storage for extended voyages, and the quality woodwork typical of well-built Taiwanese sailboats from this period. The boat is designed to keep its crew comfortable during long passages and extended living aboard.

Power comes from a 39 hp Yanmar diesel engine. The hull has remained in freshwater throughout its history and has had only two owners, both factors that support structural integrity over time. The bottom was painted in September 2024.
