The C&C 35 MkIII is a respected racer-cruiser design that combines responsive sailing performance with comfortable cruising accommodations in a 35-foot package. This 1985 fiberglass hull example has been maintained consistently, with detailed service records documenting upgrades and care throughout its current ownership. The boat was kept indoors during winters and spent its entire life in freshwater.
The deck features a balsa-cored construction with self-tailing Lewmar winches installed in 2021 and rope clutches added in 2024. The standing rigging was replaced with 1x19 wire in 2021, and the sail plan includes a 2023 Dacron mainsail, a 2016 Mylar furling genoa, and supporting equipment including lazy jacks and a rigid vang, both added in 2024. Control lines and halyards were renewed between 2021 and 2024. Two Danforth anchors with chain and rode are included.
Below, the layout offers a convertible saloon berth, an aft quarter berth, and a forward V-berth, with a galley featuring a stainless sink and microwave, and an enclosed head with shower facilities. A dedicated navigation station holds charts and reference materials. The Yanmar 3GMD 20-horsepower diesel engine powers the boat, supported by gel-cell batteries installed in 2024, a 1000-watt inverter, and navigation electronics including an Autohelm pilot, Garmin GPS, and B&G depth and wind instruments.
