The 1985 Chris-Craft 500 Constellation is a 55-foot fiberglass motor yacht powered by twin Detroit 6V92TA diesel engines producing 1,100 horsepower combined. She cruises at 12 knots with a top speed of 20 knots and carries a 15.33-foot beam, providing stable, capable performance across a wide range of sea states.
This yacht has undergone extensive customization and refinishing. The hull features a five-foot extension with additional storage and tankage, along with a complete Awlgrip exterior refresh. A custom stainless steel stairway connects the boarding step to the aft deck. Below decks, the galley includes granite countertops and updated appliances, while three heads feature granite surfaces and Tecma toilets. All interior furnishings, carpeting, hardwood floors, and headliners have been renewed.
The boat is equipped for cruising comfort and control: Wesmar hydraulic fin stabilizers and bow thruster, a full navigation package, six-zone reverse cycle heating and air conditioning, and a 20-kW Onan generator in a soundshield. Additional equipment includes an HRO watermaker, Trace inverter with updated electrical systems, and a custom Nick Jackson davit system on the stern. A 12-foot Novurania inflatable tender with center console and 40-horsepower Yamaha is included.
The engine room is clean and well-maintained. Both Detroit diesels, the generator, and associated systems recently received full service including oil and filter changes, impeller and zinc replacement, and fuel filter service. The yacht has been kept in covered moorage and is fueled and ready to operate.
