1985 Grand Banks 42 Classic

The 1985 Grand Banks 42 Classic is a fiberglass trawler built during the model's most popular production run. The boat is powered by twin Caterpillar 3208 diesel engines delivering 420 total horsepower, designed to provide economical cruising performance across longer distances.

The layout includes two staterooms and two heads, offering comfortable accommodation for cruising. The galley, saloon, and pilothouse are arranged with the practical, straightforward design Grand Banks became known for during this era.

The boat is equipped with an Onan 8kW generator, Espar diesel heating system, and Roskelley/Olsson davit for tender deployment. An Achilles RIB with Suzuki outboard is included, along with newer Garmin electronics for navigation. The boat comes with its own davit-launched tender system for exploring anchorages.
