This 1985 Gulfstar Hirsch 45 is a center-cockpit cruising yacht built from solid fiberglass with a proven design by naval architect Dick Hirsch. The boat is powered by a Beta Marine 50 hp diesel engine (2018, approximately 1,400 hours) and features a fin keel with spade rudder and masthead sloop rigging. Standing rigging was entirely replaced in 2018. The yacht cruises at 7 knots and is equipped with a full suite of modern electronics including Raymarine autopilot, chartplotter with radar, and AIS.
The layout includes two private cabins and two heads. The aft owner's cabin and forward V-berth both have new mattresses as of 2025. Interior cabinetry throughout is teak. The salon offers convertible seating and a dining table, with a navigation station nearby. The galley is U-shaped with a Force-10 gimbaled stove and oven, Technautics marine refrigeration, and good storage. A Whale water heater supplies hot and cold pressurized water to both heads, which have MasterFlush and Jabsco toilets installed in 2019.
Recent upgrades reflect extensive modernization: twin 35-gallon aluminum freshwater tanks (2025), Victron lithium battery bank and inverter/charger (2023–2025), 900-watt solar array (2024), Starlink Mini satellite internet (2024), Webasto marine air conditioning, a Rain Man watermaker, and a Honda EU2200 generator. New lifelines and bottom paint were applied in 2025. The TMC60 transmission was replaced in 2025. Deck hardware includes self-tailing Lewmar winches, a Lowfrans Project 1000 windlass with 300 feet of chain, and Lewmar Ocean hatches. A Highfield 10-foot 2-inch inflatable dinghy with 15 hp Mercury outboard is included, along with davits for deployment.
