1985 Jarvis Newman Custom

A 36-foot downeast cruiser built in 1985 by Jarvis Newman as a custom design. The yacht features a full keel and traditional prop aperture, delivering a solid, seakindly ride. Hull construction is solid fiberglass, while the decks, deckhouse, and cabin are fiberglass over plywood.

The single Volvo diesel engine produces 235 horsepower and drives the boat at a cruising speed of 12 knots with a top speed of 17 knots. The pilothouse helm features new chairs, and new settees with updated upholstery throughout the cabin. The cockpit includes a full Sunbrella enclosure with screens.

Recent updates include replacement windows installed within the last three years with custom Bomon units, and cabin hatches that were replaced or added in 2025. The boat has been lightly used and well maintained since its construction.
