1985 Mako 254 Center Console

This 1985 Mako 254 is a 25-foot center console powered by a single 350-horsepower Suzuki outboard. The boat reaches 45 knots at top speed and cruises at 25 knots. The fiberglass hull was painted in 2014 and underwent a comprehensive restoration in 2018, with the engine's powerhead replaced in 2022. Total engine hours are 560.

The boat carries a 145-gallon custom fuel tank installed in 2018 with dual pickup capability for possible future twin-engine conversion. A full custom rear enclosed bracket, also added in 2018, is similarly designed to accommodate twin power if desired. The center console layout includes plenty of storage, a windlass, and a live well for fishing.

Comfort and convenience features include a windlass and recently updated upholstery. All cushions were restored in 2025: the front bench, lean post, and bow bolsters are new, while the removable bow floor cushions were replaced in 2024. These cushioned elements can be removed to access storage and clear the deck for fishing. Audio equipment was updated in 2025 with a new stereo, CB radio, amplifier, and enclosed subwoofer.

The boat received a full annual service this past winter and has proven capable, recently achieving 39 knots with three people, gear, and 50 gallons of fuel aboard.
