This 44-foot aluminum cruiser was originally built in 1985 as a MetalCraft platform, born from the collaboration between Kingston Aluminum Yachts and MetalCraft before their merger. Designed by Avard Fuller as a private cruising yacht, she represents a rare private commission from a builder primarily known for high-performance patrol boats, fireboats, and military vessels. The aluminum hull follows commercial-grade standards—built from 5083 marine-grade aluminum to the same durability and seaworthiness specifications that define MetalCraft's reputation for extreme-condition vessels. Her low air draft of approximately 11 to 13 feet makes her well-suited for inland waterways, the Intracoastal Waterway, and bridge clearance in locks and canals.

Below deck, the yacht accommodates four guests across two private staterooms, each with its own head. A complete interior refit in 1995 transformed the spaces into a functional, comfortable layout designed for extended cruising and liveaboard use. The single Perkins diesel engine, rated at 85 horsepower, cruises efficiently at 7 knots while consuming approximately 1 gallon per hour, delivering a range of around 1,500 nautical miles. The aluminum construction provides both corrosion resistance and the durability needed for serious long-distance passage-making.
