1985 Nimble 30

The Nimble 30 is a distinctive sailing yacht with an uncommon yawl rig and keel-centerboard configuration, designed by Ted Brewer. One of only three Nimble 30s rigged as a yawl, she combines cruising comfort with genuine offshore capability and handles well in close quarters under sail. Her fiberglass hull measures 30 feet in length with a 9.3-foot beam.

Power comes from a reliable Yanmar 2GM diesel engine producing 20 horsepower, fresh water cooled, with standing rigging replaced in 2021. The boat cruises at 5.5 knots and reaches 7 knots at speed. She carries a full complement of ground tackle, tools, and an excellent dinghy—all remaining onboard.

The boat is in need of some work but has been actively cruised and lived aboard. She is responsive under sail and offers the practical advantages of the yawl configuration for coastal and offshore exploration.
