This 54-foot Ocean Alexander sedan bridge received a significant custom hull extension in 2005, approved by Ed Monk Jr. and Tim Nolan. The extension effectively lengthens the yacht to 61 feet and includes a molded staircase, large aft swimstep, and a watertight utility room with storage for cruising gear. The added waterline length improves fuel economy and ride quality. Twin Detroit Johnson & Towers 450-horsepower diesel engines power the yacht, supported by ZF electronic engine controls, Naiad fin stabilizers, and a 24-volt Side Power bow thruster.
The accommodations comprise three staterooms and two heads arranged for extended cruising comfort. The primary stateroom sits aft with a full-beam layout, centerline queen berth, and abundant storage. Forward is a VIP stateroom with queen berth and ensuite head with separate shower. A bunk room with perpendicular twin bunks completes the sleeping arrangements. The galley features full-sized appliances including a Dickinson propane stove and oven, LG refrigerator-freezer, and GE microwave, with ample cabinetry and a teak parquet floor. A free-standing dining table sits nearby.
The standout feature is the fully enclosed aft deck salon, accessible from the quarter deck through dual sliding doors. Two free-standing sofas can be arranged as desired, and a wetbar serves the entertaining space. The flybridge is also fully enclosed with access via internal stairs. A 12.5-kilowatt Westerbeke generator, 3000-watt Victron inverter (installed 2024), water maker, air conditioning, and diesel furnace support extended operation. Three helm stations—flybridge, lower helm, and quarter deck—give commanding views underway.
Electronics include Raymarine Quantum 20 radar, Simrad AP25 autopilot, Furuno GPS and depth sounder, and VHF radio. Deck equipment includes an electric davit with aluminum boom, Ideal electric windlass, dual anchors, 300 feet of chain and rode, and teak caprails. The yacht is a fiberglass hull with a 15.5-foot beam.
