1985 Ocean Yachts 55 Super Sport

The 1985 Ocean Yachts 55 Super Sport is a 55-foot fiberglass sportfish yacht built around the dual strengths of performance and space. Twin Detroit Diesel 8V92 engines produce 735 horsepower each, delivering a cruising speed of 21 knots and a top speed of 27 knots. The boat measures 16.33 feet across the beam and is powered by twin diesel engines with low operating hours—one at 80 hours since major overhaul in November 2022, the other at 590 hours since October 2013.

The accommodations center on three spacious staterooms and three electric heads with separate showers. The main salon features new carpet and a wrap-around leather couch. The galley is fully equipped with a new LG refrigerator, new Force 10 two-burner stove from 2021, microwave, and dishwasher. Climate control is provided by three 15,000-BTU MarineAir units with new compressors and copper from 2021. A 15-kilowatt Protech generator supports onboard systems.

Navigation and fishing equipment include a Garmin GPSmap XS chartplotter, Furuno NAVNet radar, autopilot, full instrumentation, custom fighting chair, and Rupp outriggers. The three heads have been refreshed—one completely new in 2023 and two refurbished in December 2022. Bottom paint was applied fresh in February 2026.
