The 1986 Albin 36 is an aft-cabin trawler built with composite hull construction and powered by a 135 hp Ford Lehman diesel engine. At 36 feet in length with a 12-foot beam, the boat accommodates two staterooms and two heads. A Northern Lights diesel generator with 216 hours of operation supports onboard systems.
The boat features dual independent HVAC units serving the main salon and sleeping quarters, updated in 2021. Navigation equipment includes a Garmin 441S GPS/chart plotter with depth sounder, supplemented by a VHF radio on the flybridge. An electric windlass system aids anchoring operations. Additional amenities include a propane grill, electric davit system for tender handling, and a collection of personal flotation devices.
Recent updates span 2020 to 2024. New Sunbrella canvas and enclosure glass were installed in 2021, along with HVAC upgrades. A Lewmar 1000 Pro Fish Windlass with chain and nylon line replaced the original system in 2022. In 2024, both aluminum fuel tanks, manifold, riser, alternator, and oil pressure gauge were replaced. An included Highfield CL340 RIB with 15 hp Yamaha outboard and Hypalon tubes completes the package.
Maintenance performed in 2024 included engine and generator servicing, replacement of both toilet pumps, hull cleaning and repainting with Petit Trinidad Pro, sacrificial zinc replacement, and propeller calibration.
