The 51 Idylle is a German Frers design with distinctive character: a raked bow, classic sheer line, and flat stern give way to a low, racy trunk cabin and well aft cockpit. The hull sits on a deep fin keel with spade rudder, built with fiberglass up to three inches thick below the waterline for durability despite her sharp, cutting profile.
Power comes from an 85 horsepower Perkins diesel engine, with a cruising speed of eight knots. A three-year-old generator backs up the electrical system. The boat carries two cabins, two heads, and the accommodation space typical of her era and design.
Recent additions include an impressive solar array, heating and air conditioning systems, and new Garmin electronics. A West Marine RIB tender with Tohatsu 9.9 outboard is included with the sale.
