1986 Catalina 34

This 1986 Catalina 34 is a fiberglass cruising sailboat with a 34-foot 6-inch length overall and 11-foot 9-inch beam. She draws 5 feet 7 inches and displaces 11,950 pounds. Power comes from a Universal 25 diesel engine producing 21 horsepower with 1,147 hours on the engine. The boat has been operated exclusively in freshwater.

Below deck, the yacht accommodates two cabins and one head. The main cabin features two saloon tables, refrigeration, and a microwave. Air conditioning and heating are installed via Marine Air Systems. Water capacity is 70 gallons, fuel capacity 23 gallons, and the holding tank holds 27 gallons. The boat carries three batteries—two house batteries and one engine starting battery—with a battery charger on board.

The sailing rig includes a tall mast configuration with a mainsail and a 150 Genoa (new in 2021). The foresail is equipped with a Hood Yacht Sea Furling system. Maxwell self-tailing winches (20/26) handle sheet management. On deck, a bimini top, dodger frame, cockpit cushions, and boarding ladder provide comfort and access. Two anchors—a plough and CQR—are carried, along with a Lifesling2 overboard rescue system and mast ladder. Bottom paint was applied in 2023.

Electronics include a Garmin ECOMAP UHD chartplotter installed in 2023, an Autohelm ST4000 autopilot, an ICOM IC-M302 VHF radio, a portable handheld VHF, and a Sanyo stereo. A three-blade fixed prop is fitted to the engine.
