This 1986 DeFever 41 is a fiberglass trawler built for extended cruising and live-aboard comfort. The boat features a stable, fuel-efficient single Perkins diesel engine with 1,248 hours, a 14-foot beam, and a spacious double-cabin layout. Twin helm stations—one on the flybridge and one in the salon—give flexibility for varied cruising conditions, while walkaround decks with high bulwarks provide secure footing in rough water.
The interior accommodates two cabins with comfortable living space throughout. The salon features new upholstered cushions, a custom helm chair, and entertainment amenities including a Sony 36-inch television and JVC stereo. The galley includes a replaced Norcold refrigerator. The master head has been updated with a new Ruritan Elegance electric toilet and Scandvik fixtures. Blinds cover the salon windows, and the flybridge includes a wrap and enclosure for weather protection.
Recent equipment upgrades reflect significant investment: four 100-watt solar panels, new house batteries, a Victron 12V/3000VA inverter/charger, lithium battery backup, and an electric Lofrans windlass with 3/8-inch chain. Navigation systems include an 18-inch Garmin radar, Garmin plotter GPS, and new instrument panels throughout. A 9-foot Highfield tender with 6-horsepower Evinrude engine and quick-release davits are included, along with a new 48-inch teak swim platform.
All teak decking has been re-caulked and sealed. The boat was last hauled out in October 2025 for inspection, with fresh two-coat bottom paint scheduled for spring application. Fuel capacity is 400 gallons across two tanks, with 250-gallon water and 60-gallon holding tanks. Service records are available.
