1986 Gulf Craft Passenger

Ocean Thunder is a 99-foot aluminum-hulled passenger boat built by Gulf Craft in 1986. She accommodates 150 passengers across three heads and is powered by three John Deere diesel engines producing 1,950 horsepower combined, delivering a cruising speed of 15 knots and a maximum speed of 22 knots. A hydraulic bow thruster provides excellent maneuverability for close-quarters maneuvering.

The boat has undergone extensive mechanical and systems work. New generators were installed to support full-day operations, the entire electrical system was rewired throughout, and fresh paint was applied to the topsides, deck, and hull. Custom stainless steel railings were fitted for guest safety and appearance.

Additional upgrades include a new bow thruster installation and comprehensive refit work performed under experienced oversight. The aluminum hull has been sounded and inspected, and stability analysis has been completed. The boat is well-suited for passenger operations including whale watching, coastal sightseeing, charters, and special-event cruises.
