A 1986 Hatteras 52 Convertible purpose-built for sportfishing. The boat is powered by twin Detroit 8V92TI turbo diesel engines delivering 1,300 horsepower combined, with cruising speed of 24 knots. She features trim tabs for improved handling and a 20-kilowatt generator with an 8-kilowatt unit in the cockpit. Recent work includes new canvas and eisenglass.
The flybridge serves as an entertaining and operating platform with dual helm seats, compass, autopilot, dual VHF radios, upgraded Furuno chartplotter and fishfinder with repeater, Furuno radar, and Fusion audio system. The cockpit is equipped for fishing with a 3–4 scoop bait tank, fighting chair and ladder, twin outriggers, rocket launchers, deep freezer, sink, tackle station, and aft throttle controls.
Below, the salon offers an L-shaped seating arrangement to starboard with table, an armchair and electrical panel to port, and extensive windows throughout. The galley features a two-burner stove, microwave, full-size refrigerator, large sink, and considerable storage. A four-seat dining area to port provides additional stowage overhead.
Three cabins accommodate crew and passengers. The master suite to starboard includes a queen bed with ensuite head and shower. Forward in the V-berth, a larger cabin has bunk beds. A smaller crew cabin to port with bunk bed shares ensuite head access with shower. A stacked washer and dryer combination is located in the hallway. No leaks are reported in the interior, and maintenance including bottom pitting repair and repainting has been completed.
