The Jackie is a 63-foot sailing schooner completed in 1986, built for both cruising the Baltic and extended offshore passages. She combines purposeful sailing design with substantial living space, making her equally suited to seasonal mooring or long-distance voyaging.
The yacht is steered from two positions: the main rudder from the stern, and an interior helm in the wheelhouse, which serves as a bright social space. The layout flows from the wheelhouse down into a galley accommodating eight people for meals and gathering. The schooner has four sleeping cabins: a double bunk cabin off the galley, another double bunk cabin from the salon, a spacious captain's cabin with a double bed forward, and a crew cabin aft with three beds. A salon with double sofas and a soapstone fireplace occupies the central social area. Additional spaces include a WC with shower and a small laundry room, with storage integrated throughout the sleeping areas.
Climate control relies on an air source heat pump and the soapstone stove. The 138 hp diesel auxiliary engine supports sailing operations when needed. The hull received epoxy repainting below the waterline and a new propeller shaft seal during dry dock in June 2023.
