This 1986 Tiara 2000 is a 20-foot cuddy cabin built from solid fiberglass construction during Tiara's reputation for quality workmanship. The heavy hull provides a quiet, composed ride characteristic of the era. Power comes from a 175 hp Suzuki engine delivering approximately 23 knots cruising speed and topping out around 36 knots. Fuel economy runs 2.8 to 3.3 miles per gallon, supported by a 72-gallon aluminum fuel tank plus an additional matching spare tank (purchased new in 2016, unused). Maximum range and capacity support extended offshore and island operations.
The boat has undergone substantial recent work including engine replacement, custom tower installation, updated electrical systems and wiring, new pumps and switches, and refreshed lighting throughout. All soft goods have been renewed. The layout accommodates fishing operations with full bait storage capacity for extended days on the water.
A galvanized Pacific Trailers trailer is included with the sale. Three hubs have been replaced, and all four were serviced with Bearing Buddies in recent months. All five tires, including the spare, are new (2021). The trailer features LED lighting and is fully operational; it does not have brakes. The trailer shows minor wear typical of saltwater use.
The boat has seen consistent maintenance and fishing use. Nearly every system has been updated, replaced, or optimized over recent seasons.
