1986 Viking Boats 35 Convertible

A 1986 Viking 35 Convertible built from fiberglass with twin Crusader 454 engines rated at 350 hp each. The boat measures 35 feet in length with a 12-foot 11-inch beam and drafts approximately 3 feet 8 inches. Twin shaft drive propulsion, fuel capacity of 300 gallons, and fresh water tankage of 110 gallons support extended cruising. An 11.5 kW Kohler generator provides onboard power.

The interior features a spacious salon with dinette, galley equipped with stove, microwave, refrigerator and sink, and forward master berth with additional sleeping arrangements. The cockpit is designed for fishing with rod holders and fish boxes, while the flybridge provides helm station visibility and control. Below deck accommodations and the main cabin layout maximize comfort for extended time aboard.

A comprehensive refit spanning November 2021 through August 2022 addressed the boat from core to finish. Transom, cockpit gunnel, and hardtop cores were replaced with new fiberglass and gel coat applied. All external hardware below and above the waterline was removed, sandblasted, polished, and rebedded. Rub rails were fully restored, delamination on the bow pulpit repaired with synthetic teak, and the swim platform refinished. The fuel tank was inspected, cleaned, and sealed after access panels revealed its condition.

Engine systems received full attention: cooling exchangers rebuilt, new hoses installed on both engines, exhaust mufflers repaired, raw water impellers replaced, ignition components new, and distributor caps and spark plugs renewed. Hydraulic steering and trim tab systems were completely rebuilt. Navigation electronics include a new RayMarine E series hybrid touchscreen with Quantum Radar and dual depth transducers. Interior updates include new sofa, custom memory foam mattresses, new AC and hot water heater, LED navigation lighting throughout, and refinished window treatments. Engines show approximately 1,180 hours each.
