1987 Bertram 28 Sport Fisherman

The 1987 Bertram 28 Sport Fisherman is a fiberglass flybridge boat built on the classic Ray Hunt deep-V hull design. Measuring 28 feet 6 inches in length with an 11-foot beam, it weighs approximately 12,000 pounds and draws 2 feet 7 inches. Power comes from a single 260 hp Mercruiser gasoline inboard engine.

The cockpit spans 85 square feet and is equipped for fishing with rocket launchers, a center rigger, and outriggers. The flybridge helm offers excellent sightlines and features a custom radar arch and bimini top. Below deck, the cabin provides sleeping accommodation for five to six people and includes a compact galley and enclosed head. The boat carries 160 gallons of fuel, 40 gallons of fresh water, and a 25-gallon holding tank.

The engine was repowered in 2012 and has logged 680 hours. A comprehensive upgrade was completed in 2022 that added a battery charger, electric head, stereo system, second VHF radio, air conditioning, television, underwater lights, spreader lights, and new window covers. The boat remains in solid condition and ready for saltwater fishing or day cruising.
