1987 Hatteras 58 Motor Yacht

This 1987 Hatteras 58 Motor Yacht represents a well-maintained example of Jack Hargrave's classic wide-body design. The stabilized hull and 18-foot beam provide a stable platform for cruising while allowing full walk-around deck space. Twin Detroit diesel engines producing 1,300 horsepower power the boat.

The interior accommodates three cabins and three heads. The galley has been updated with granite countertops and full-sized stainless steel appliances. An enclosed, climate-controlled aft deck extends the living space. The boat is furnished throughout with designer pieces.

The fiberglass hull, metalwork, and brightwork are well-finished. NIAID stabilizers were added in 1999. The retractable radar arch is a practical addition for cruising. A 14-foot Zodiac RIB with a 50-horsepower Yamaha engine is included.

The yacht spent nearly its entire operating life on fresh water, primarily on the Great Lakes. It was kept in a heated shed for much of each year and maintained in a covered slip for the past two decades, with the exception of a six-month period in Florida for a designer refit.
