The Hi-Star 48 Convertible is a 1987 sportfish yacht built on a modified-vee fiberglass hull, 48 feet in length with a 15-foot beam. Twin Caterpillar 3208T diesel engines produce 750 horsepower combined, delivering a cruising speed of 13 knots. An electric windlass is fitted for anchoring operations.
The interior comprises two cabins and two heads. The forward stateroom features a queen walkaround berth, while the second cabin is fitted with upper and lower twin bunks, providing accommodation flexibility.
Electronics and fishing equipment include a Raymarine Axiom Pro 12 RVX multifunction display with integrated radar, chart plotter, and depth sounder. A Raymarine CHIRP wide-beam sonar system and two Raymarine Canon Optimum TS electric downriggers support fishing operations. An EZ PULL electric pot puller is installed. A Northern Lights 8 kW generator provides onboard power.
