The 1987 Hunter 34 is a 34.5-foot fiberglass masthead sloop built for family cruising and racing. The design balances easy handling with a spacious interior, offering 6'3" to 6'4" of headroom throughout. Power comes from a Yanmar 3GM diesel engine rated at 30 horsepower. The hull carries a 5,000-pound ballast fin keel, and the sail plan totals 569 square feet.
Below decks, the two-cabin layout provides a V-berth forward and a large aft berth. An L-shaped galley sits amidships. Marine Air Systems air conditioning is installed, though vents require completion. New batteries were fitted in 2024.
Navigation and communication gear includes a Garmin GPSMAP 700, Standard Horizon HX300 VHF transceiver, and Raymarine fishfinder with depth gauge. Entertainment comes via Fusion audio with a BB10 Black Box head unit, cabin speakers, and cockpit speakers. Safety equipment comprises a Lifesling2 overboard rescue system, four Type V convertible inflatable PFDs, and a 20-inch ring buoy. In 2022, a stainless steel SailTrack and new mainsail pack were installed. Service records are available from the current ownership.
