The 1987 Kadey-Krogen Silhouette is a 42-foot motor yacht defined by naval architect James S. Krogen's disciplined approach to design—clean lines, no excess, and a seamless blend of seaworthiness with refined comfort. Only 11 were built. She is powered by twin Volvo TAMD 61A engines producing 306 horsepower each, paired with Twin Disc reverse gearboxes and counter-rotating four-blade propellers. Her hull design features a fine entry, rounded chine forward transitioning to shallow V aft, engineered for efficient planning and a dry, steady ride while maximizing fuel economy.

The accommodation layout centers on a bright salon amidships with built-in breakfast bar and cabinetry, appointed in teak. Forward lies a fully equipped galley with three-burner stove, induction cooktop, convection microwave, refrigerator-freezer, and double stainless sink. A guest stateroom with double berth sits ahead, with private head and shower. The owner's stateroom aft is notably spacious for the size, featuring a walk-around double bed, vanity, private head with tub, walk-in closet, and sliding teak-glass doors opening to the private aft deck. Above, the control deck features a sheltered hard-top enclosure with interchangeable isinglass and screen panels, U-shaped settee, table, and wet bar for entertaining while underway.

Deck equipment includes an electric windlass with remote helm control, 300 feet of chain and rode with 35-pound anchor, bow pulpit with high-life rails, hydraulic stern gate for wide transom opening and swim platform, hot and cold cockpit shower, mooring cleats, and fender racks. An 11.6-foot Zodiac RIB tender with 2.5-horsepower Suzuki outboard and stainless steel davits are included.

Systems include a 3.9-kilowatt Nexgen generator (new 2021), 12-gallon water heater (2021), Xantrex 2000-watt inverter and 55-amp battery charger (2017), Raymarine SL70 16-mile radar, Standard Horizon VHF, and compass. Tankage: 400 gallons fuel, 150 gallons water, 30 gallons holding. Bottom paint and zincs were renewed in 2019; engines receive annual oil and filter changes.
