The Moody 376 is a blue-water cruising sailboat designed by Bill Dixon. This example is rigged as a cutter with a long waterline and double spreader rig suited to offshore passage-making and all-wind sailing. A 36 hp Mitsubishi diesel engine provides auxiliary power. The self-bailing center cockpit features a large portside locker and stainless steel fold-up ladder to the transom for dinghy and water access.
Below, the main cabin offers 6 feet 3 inches of headroom with a drop-leaf table for six, L-shaped dinette seating, and a port settee. The galley lies to port with the nav station opposite to starboard. Two heads serve the accommodation, each with shower facilities. The forward V-berth cabin includes a hanging locker and access to both the main cabin and forepeak storage. The aft owner's stateroom is generously proportioned with port berth, starboard settee, and standing headroom for dressing, plus abundant ventilation and storage.
The boat carries Furuno navigation equipment including radar, AIS, digital depth sounder, and networked multifunction display, backed by Navico autopilot and a fluxgate compass. Sail inventory includes a UK 2016 mainsail with new track and stainless cars, 120% genoa, working jib, and roller-furling yankee and staysail with stack pack and lazy jacks. The rig features six winches and wheel steering. Power systems include five 12-volt batteries, new battery charger, and a Hurricane three-zone diesel heater.
Recent work includes motor mounts replaced in 2021, cutlass bearings and shaft log replaced in 2022, new electric fuel pump, and 2026 dodger with new cockpit flexteek. Also new are the steering pedestal and bimini top. A Rochna anchor with 125 feet of chain and Danforth anchor with 200 feet of rode, plus an Avon rigid dinghy with 2.5 hp Suzuki outboard and davits complete the setup.
