The 2001 Catalina 380 is a proven cruising design by Gerry Douglas, built on a fiberglass hull with a 38-foot waterline and an 11-foot beam. She's powered by a 40-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine and equipped with a NextGen 3.5-kilowatt diesel generator. The shoal-draft wing keel draws just 5 feet 4 inches, opening access to shallow-water cruising grounds like the Chesapeake Bay and the Bahamas.
Below, the layout centers on the aft owner's cabin with its walk-around island berth—a layout that distinguishes the 380 from conventional aft-cockpit cruisers of the era. The single cabin includes a functional head with a separate shower stall and full vanity, plus a forward cabin with an additional sink. The galley features a gimbaled three-burner LPG stove with oven and a 12-volt refrigeration compressor. Navigation stations, storage, and dual-zone reverse-cycle air conditioning (9,000 BTU forward, 12,000 BTU aft) complete the accommodation plan.
Systems throughout reflect cruising-focused equipment: in-mast furling mainsail and Furlex 304S headsail furling keep sail handling manageable. An electric anchor windlass and Lewmar winch package (40ST and 48ST models) handle deck operations. Navigation gear includes a Raymarine ST5000+ autopilot, Standard Horizon CP180i chartplotter, SI-TEX radar, ICOM VHF, and a full Raymarine ST60+ instrument suite with wind, speed, and depth functions. Manual bilge and waste pumps, an electric bilge pump, and a macerator round out mechanical systems.
The dodger and bimini are not included but require replacement; the seller is offering credit toward new canvas of the buyer's choice.
