1987 Morgan Classic 41

The Morgan Classic 41 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built in 1987 and refined by Morgan's design improvements over the original model. The long fin keel and skeg-hung rudder enhance sailing performance and directional control. Power comes from a 44 hp Yanmar diesel engine paired with a bow thruster. The boat measures 41 feet in length with a 13.83-foot beam and accommodates two cabins and two heads.

The yacht carries substantial cruising equipment gathered through years of active use. Navigation systems include updated Raymarine chart plotter, Standard Horizon VHF radio with AIS receiver, and helm-mounted microphone. A Lofrans Tigress windlass with dual controls serves dual bow rollers fitted for 70-pound Delta and Bruce anchors. Davits support a tender, and a mounted swim ladder provides easy water access. Safety features include stainless steel tube railings with cable openings. Power systems comprise solar and wind generation, a Magnum inverter and charger, and four Trojan T-105 batteries installed in 2022. An Engel chest freezer and refrigerator positioned in the cockpit offers convenience underway.

Recent maintenance reflects ongoing care: both engine alternators were rebuilt in 2025, the sheer and boot stripe were repainted in 2024, and the teak and holly sole was refinished that same year. A new air conditioner hatch was added in late 2024. The freezer evaporator was renewed in 2021, opening hatches were replaced in 2022, and the starter battery was replaced in 2023.
